Job Duties:

  • Utilize schematics, oscilloscopes, and other tools to troubleshoot PCB assemblies to component level.
  • Perform final "box build," testing, and calibration of Electrical Test & Measurement equipment.
  • Repair, test, and calibrate customer units returned for service.
  • Maintain comprehensive production documentation, including repair database and inventory management.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding equipment performance and provide applications assistance.
  • Collaborate within a team environment involving engineering, sales, production, and purchasing personnel.

Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic theory.
  • Experience reading schematics and proficient troubleshooting of systems and circuit assemblies.
  • Familiarity with standard manufacturing processes and software applications.
  • Proficiency in using multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical test equipment.
  • Ability to use hand tools; experience with SMT soldering and de-soldering is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet company objectives.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written procedures.
  • Solid judgment, decision-making skills, and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a cooperative and conscientious approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A 2-year degree in electronics and/or military training.
  • 2+ years of experience in schematic reading and system troubleshooting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of sitting, computer work, and performing tests and calibration.
  • Good eye-hand coordination.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
