We’re hiring an experienced Account Executive to support our Civilian Sales Team — someone who’s passionate about solving complex technology challenges and building strong, strategic customer relationships.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Account Executive, you will:

  • Drive mission-aligned outcomes by connecting civilian agencies with modern technology solutions across cybersecurity, IT modernization, DevSecOps, and performance engineering.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities in your territory, leveraging Swish’s value-driven offerings and engineering expertise.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, engineering, leadership) to craft solutions that truly make a difference.
  • Grow and manage key accounts, deepening relationships and aligning Swish’s capabilities with your customers’ evolving needs.
  • Deliver on revenue and profitability goals through accurate forecasting, strategic account planning, and effective execution.
  • Create and present compelling proposals that speak directly to customer pain points and mission objectives.
  • Build strong partner relationships with OEMs, service providers, and other key players in the tech ecosystem.
  • This is a remote role located in the DMV area that requires up to 50% travel to customer sites and industry events.

What You Bring to the Table

  • 10+ years of direct sales or account executive experience at an OEM or VAR — with a proven track record of growth and customer success in the federal civilian space.
  • A strong understanding of government procurement, program lifecycles, and how to align technical capabilities with mission needs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills — you're comfortable engaging with both executive stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience developing creative, customized solutions that meet real-world mission challenges.

Key Competencies

Territory & Account Ownership

  • Own and manage a defined federal territory or set of agencies (DoD, Civilian, or IC).
  • Build and sustain executive-level relationships with federal stakeholders and key mission owners.

Pipeline Generation & Opportunity Management

  • Develop, qualify, and manage a robust pipeline of enterprise services and solution opportunities.
  • Prospect within existing accounts and whitespace to uncover modernization initiatives and unmet mission needs.
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle: discovery → qualification → shaping → proposal → close.

Solution-Led Selling & Value Positioning

  • Lead with outcomes—positioning network modernization, cloud, cybersecurity, automation, and managed services aligned to federal mission objectives.
  • Conduct discovery and facilitate workshops with customer technical and mission teams.
  • Translate customer requirements into compelling solutions with clear business and mission impact.

Partner & OEM Engagement

  • Collaborate with OEMs to co-sell solutions and attach services.
  • Utilize partner programs, incentives, and CX/Services plays to enhance deal size and margins.
  • Coordinate with OEM account teams on federal pursuits and strategic campaigns.

Forecasting, Metrics & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate forecasting of bookings and services revenue.
  • Track and report key KPIs: pipeline coverage, attach rate, services mix, recurring services growth, and margin performance.
  • Ensure clean opportunity hygiene and CRM updates (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite).
