Job DescriptionControls & Automation Technician
We are seeking an experienced Controls & Automation Technician to support industrial process control systems in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for PLC programming, troubleshooting, automation project support, instrumentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
-
Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC and HMI systems.

Support commissioning and startup of automation projects.

Troubleshoot instrumentation, control hardware, and industrial networks.

Develop and maintain control system documentation.
-
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to improve process performance, reliability, and safety.

Support control system upgrades and capital projects.
-
Provide operator and maintenance training as needed.
Qualifications
-
5+ years of industrial controls, automation, or process control experience.
-
Experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and system integration.
-
Knowledge of HMI development and industrial communication networks.

Experience with process instrumentation, field devices, and low-voltage control systems.

Ability to read electrical drawings, P&IDs, and control schematics.

Experience in chemical manufacturing, specialty chemicals, or other continuous process industries strongly preferred.

Technical degree, associate degree, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
