Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team in Columbia, South Carolina. This contract position with the potential for permanent employment will focus on performing daily financial reconciliations, preparing detailed reports, and ensuring the accuracy of cash flow processes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical mindset and a commitment to maintaining precise financial data in a government setting.

Responsibilities:
• Reconcile accounts receivable and credit card reports against detailed aging records on a daily basis.
• Verify and balance cash receipts and prepare comprehensive daily cash flow reports for accounting purposes.
• Conduct event reconciliations and finalize balance settlements with accuracy.
• Manage and audit financial systems such as iParc, T2, and event-related handheld devices and ticketing systems.
• Input and maintain monthly occupancy and financial activity reports.
• Investigate and resolve misapplied payments, unbalanced transactions, and other payment discrepancies.
• Monitor and address credit card machine errors, including batch discrepancies and transaction issues.
• Respond to inquiries and concerns from internal personnel regarding cash reporting and deposit processes.
• Maintain and update accounts receivable aging reports, performing collections when necessary.
• Complete additional financial tasks and projects as assigned.• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant financial analysis or accounting experience.
• Valid South Carolina Class 'D' Driver’s License.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across various organizational levels.
• Exceptional analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with accounting software systems and financial data management.
