Farmscape is seeking a full-time landscape construction lead man to assist the Install Foreman in planning, coordinating, and executing landscape installation projects. This role bridges the gap between crew members and the Foreman, ensuring that work is performed safely, efficiently, and to Farmscape’s high standards of craftsmanship. Our install team works Monday - Friday from 6:00am-2:30pm, and offers great benefits.
Location: Oakland, CA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Install Foreman in planning and performing the work of install crews for both residential and commercial projects, including hardscape, carpentry, planting, drainage, and irrigation.
- Lead and instruct crew members to produce excellent, high-quality installations.
- Direct workflow and maintain jobsite pace in coordination with or in the absence of the Foreman.
- Consistently carry out the directives of the Foreman and take initiative to seek out new responsibilities.
- Maintain responsibility for personal and crew safety on the jobsite.
- Read and interpret landscape plans and blueprints.
- Create and organize parts lists for irrigation systems and construction builds.
- Safely operate all tools and equipment, and participate in vehicle and equipment safety checks and maintenance.
- Train, mentor, and demonstrate mastery of installation skills by teaching others Farmscape best practices.
- Communicate effectively with clients and coworkers, representing Farmscape in a friendly and professional manner.
- Direct all client questions or concerns to the Foreman or Manager as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman.
- Drive between project sites and supply vendors (valid driver’s license required).
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in landscape construction.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and instruct others effectively.
- Strong understanding of irrigation, grading, drainage, hardscape, and carpentry.
- Proficiency in reading plans and executing precise installations.
- Ability to calculate grades, operate lasers, and use heavy equipment safely.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
- Clear and friendly communicator with strong leadership and teamwork skills.

Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift 75lbs
- Ability to perform manual work, lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions
