Job DescriptionStaff Accountant
We are a privately-owned company in the Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain industry hiring for a Staff Accountant. We are looking to add an on-site Staff Accountant to our team, who will report to the Assistant Controller and VP of Finance out of our Irving, TX office.
Key Reponsibilities
- Prepare accurate account reconciliations
- Manage and maintain the General Ledger system
- Support timely month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensure accounting compliance and accurate information is entered, and resolve any discrepancies
- Support the VP of Finance and the on-site accounting team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a similar field
- 2+ years of professional staff accounting experience
- Understanding of GAAP standards, entering general ledger entries, balance sheet, account reconciliation, and more
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Experience with ensuring accuracy and compliance of account entries, handling discrepancies, reconciliations, financial documents, and more
- Experience with high volume accounting in the desired industries is a plus: Supply Chain, Wholesale/Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, Construction, Transportation, etc...
