Location: Sparta, MI
Shift: 1st Shift, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (Training 8:00 AM–4:00 PM)
Pay: $17 per hour
Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We’re seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team in Sparta, MI. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in our operations by supporting both internal and external customers, ensuring timely communication, accurate order processing, and smooth coordination with Shipping and the Freight Manager.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Customer Service Representative, your key responsibilities will include communicating with truck lines regarding orders and service issues to ensure on-time delivery, handling daily communication with customers about orders, shipping details, backorders, and concerns, and coordinating with Shipping/Receiving on orders, shortages, and overruns to keep operations running smoothly. Additionally, you may be asked to prepare invoices, enter orders, create bills of lading and UPS labels, track shipments, file claims and sample requests, answer phones, greet guests, and assist other departments as needed to support overall plant operations.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications: Previous customer service experience preferred (training available), strong communication and writing skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Skills: Excellent computer and database skills to manage orders and customer information accurately, strong organizational skills to keep tasks on track, and professional communication skills to work effectively with customers, carriers, and internal teams.
