A Float Pool Registered Nurse (Medical-Surgical) opportunity is open in Gainesville, FL, with a hospital serving a broad regional patient population across multiple inpatient nursing units.
The role. In this float pool position, the RN rotates across multiple Med-Surg units throughout the hospital, bringing clinical flexibility and adaptability to varied patient populations and care teams. The nurse serves as a primary patient and family advocate, safeguarding privacy and confidentiality throughout each episode of care. Core clinical responsibilities include performing nursing assessments and formulating nursing diagnoses, then developing and executing individualized, plan-based care with a focus on continuous improvement in patient outcomes.
What we're looking for.
- Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care Medical-Surgical RN experience required; candidates must be currently working in a Med-Surg setting — Med-Surg experience is the only acceptable specialty background
- Willingness and flexibility to float to multiple units
- Active Florida RN license or an approved multistate compact RN license required; compact license holders must obtain a Florida license within 60 days of relocation
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- AHCA Level 2 background screen and fingerprinting required
Schedule. This position is offered on both day (7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.) and night (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekend coverage.
Compensation. $43.00 - $43.00/hr
