A Part-Time Bookkeeper role in Pittsburgh, PA is now available through Adecco Healthcare and Life Science. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the company. This role involves managing patient billing, insurance claims, and financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial processes. The Financial Coordinator will work closely with patients, staff, and insurance companies to ensure efficient financial operations and provide exceptional service to our patients.

This is a minimum 3-6-month temp/contract position starting in April 2025. You will be expected to work 100% onsite. The work hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00am-4:30pm. The hourly pay range is $22.00-$24.00/hr. depending on your level of experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops and oversees office capital and operating budgets. Allocates and authorizes appropriate expenditures. Manages area of responsibility to meet budget targets and accomplish fiscal objectives. Prepares and submits budget and related reports; forecasts and accurately projects expenses; takes corrective action to address negative variances.

  • Manages the professional fee revenue cycle including charge lag, denial management, encounters without charges, co-pay collection, etc.

  • Manage employee payroll, benefits, 401k disbursements, tax documents, and serve as liaison to related TPA(s), accountants, attorneys, and benefit managers.

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports to the executive team. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support decision-making.

  • Provide billing statement to patients and ensure accounts are billed accurately and timely by providing proactive oversight and direction for billing and collections. Possess complete understanding of the billing/collection process to resolve complex, outstanding claims.

  • Maintains current knowledge of hospital billing systems and government payer systems, including applicable federal/state laws and regulations, as well as all aspects of third-party reimbursement policies and practices

  • Organizes and leads efforts to maximize operational efficiency and optimize reimbursement, as well as monitors denials and provides education and reporting to the areas regarding the effect of denials from their areas.

  • Reviews all statistical reports to monitor trends, determine operational deficiencies and implement corrective action plans as necessary

  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including GAAP, tax laws, and healthcare-specific financial requirements. Coordinate internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation and addressing any findings.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting or equivalent and a minimum of one year of office management experience OR High School Diploma and 3 years of office management experience including financial management.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
