Job Title: Warehouse Driver

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Driver where you'll play a key role in shipping and receiving operations, loading and unloading trucks, and staging shipments using shrink wrap. You will conduct inventory cycle counts and pick orders, ensuring the smooth flow of goods. This position is initially for three months with the possibility of extension, covering for teammates on PTO. You'll start in the warehouse and transition to route driving in November.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an organized warehouse, stockroom, and work area layout to adapt to business needs. Continually improve cleanliness, organization, and efficiency.
  • Lead and participate in process improvement activities, including implementing inventory system enhancements, 5S processes, and storage management systems.
  • Direct workflow and personnel in Receiving, Finished Goods Warehouse, Shipping, and Returns departments to meet company goals and quality metrics.
  • Oversee warehouse space to ensure compliance with safety initiatives and housekeeping standards.
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to identify training opportunities for the warehouse team.
  • Conduct hands-on work including operating forklifts, staging orders, and creating shipping documents. Audit outbound shipments to ensure customer shipping requirements are met.
  • Perform quality checks on staged orders to guarantee order fulfillment accuracy, especially for critical customers.
  • Participate in documenting warehouse processes, recommend changes, and implement as directed. Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Collaborate with management and plant personnel on audits and inspections.
  • Ensure accurate and timely inventorying of all products, supplies, and customer returns.
  • Collaborate with various company personnel to ensure 100% inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain dock security and adherence to policies and procedures to secure company assets.
  • Maintain records related to warehouse duties.
  • Offload and ensure accurate inventory of green coffee as needed.
  • Provide cross-functional back-up for the Warehouse Manager and Production Planner.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in data entry
  • Experience with loading and unloading trucks.
  • Understanding of DOT regulations.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving operations.
  • Proficiency in packing, loading, and unloading.
  • Ability to use RF scanners, stand-up and reach trucks, and sit-down forklifts.
  • Inventory management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in process improvement activities.
  • Knowledge of 5S processes and storage management systems.
  • Ability to audit shipments and perform quality checks.
  • Experience in documenting warehouse processes.
  • Collaboration skills with various company personnel.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of OAKLAND, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
