- Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Cardiac Stepdown / Telemetry Unit\n
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks\n
- Start Date: November 26, 2025\n
- End Date: February 25, 2026\n
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 pm – 7:15 am), every other weekend, rotational holidays\n
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week\n
- Open Positions: 5 travel RN openings\n
- Charting System: EPIC electronic health record\n
\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n
- \n
- Active RN license in West Virginia or compact state (required for travel nursing jobs)\n
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med-Surg, Telemetry, or Cardiac Stepdown nursing\n
- Previous travel nurse experience required\n
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications\n
- Proficiency in critical drips and trach care; peritoneal dialysis experience preferred\n
- Ability to float to other Med-Surg units or Emergency Department\n
- Strong cardiac nursing background with experience titrating drips (Heparin, Cardizem, Lasix, Dopamine, Amiodarone)\n
\n\nCardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities\n
- \n
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac and respiratory conditions\n
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips during each shift\n
- Titrate and manage cardiac drips according to unit protocols\n
- Perform trach care and collaborate with respiratory therapists for advanced respiratory support\n
- Document patient care in EPIC EHR system\n
- Participate in unit orientation and ongoing nursing skills assessments\n
- Float to other units or Emergency Department as needed\n
- Comply with hospital dress code (navy scrubs, closed-toed shoes)\n
- May serve as Charge Nurse and cross-train for additional clinical responsibilities\n
