Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to operate heavy equipment, safely
• Can operate equipment such as: dozers, excavators and trucks
• General construction knowledge
• Knowledge of slips, drainage, grading and equipment maintenance

Experience

• Previous experience with site preparations, clearing & grubbing, earthen construction, surface excavations, required
• Coal impoundment experience, preferred
• Surface, no underground experience is needed
• Highly skilled heavy equipment operator
• Highly skilled with track driven bulldozers and track driven excavator

Job Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Class A CDL License
• Valid driver’s license
• Regular and punctual attendance
• Compliance with company policies, procedures and safety standard
• MSHA Certification (training available if needed)
• Must be able to successfully pass a post offer drug test and background check
• Must be able to successfully complete industry approved training courses
• Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship

Job Schedule and Physical Demands

• Must be able to work 8–9-hour workdays Monday – Friday with possible overtime, weekends and holidays as needed or as schedule requires (subject to applicant’s religious practices)
• Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule on a 24/7 basis (subject to the applicant’s religious practices)
• Ability/willingness to work different shifts when assigned
• Ability to work in a physically demanding atmosphere when needed
• Ability to perform heavy labor and lift 50+ pounds as needed
