Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Colorado Springs, CO

Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years deaf & hard of hearing experience required.
Soliant is seeking a qualified and experienced Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Specialist to support K12 students across multiple school locations in Colorado for the 20252026 school year. This is a traveling, full-time position providing direct and consultative services to ensure access to educational content and environments for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Consult with teachers, staff, and families to ensure acmodations and modifications are in place

Monitor student progress and support IEP development and implementation

Conduct assessments related to hearing access, munication needs, and academic development

Assist in the selection and use of amplification devices and classroom hearing technologies

Travel to multiple school sites to serve students across the district/region

Collaborate with audiologists, interpreters, and other service providers

Maintain accurate documentation in pliance with state and federal guidelines
Requirements:

Active Colorado DHH License (required at time of hire no pending licensure will be accepted)

Experience working with deaf or hard of hearing students in K12 settings preferred

Strong knowledge of IDEA, ADA, and best practices in DHH education

Ability to work independently and travel between school locations

Excellent munication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Schedule and Location:

This position requires a mitment of 40hours per week

Employment is for the duration of the school year, following the academic calendar (August 11, 2025 - May 21, 2025)
