- Contract Duration: 13 weeks\n
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:00am), 36 hours/week\n
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week\n
- Weekend/Holiday: Rotating weekends and holidays required\n
- Charting System: EPIC\n
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1860-$2000\n
\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n
- \n
- Active RN license (West Virginia or compact state)\n
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience\n
- Travel nursing experience required\n
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications\n
- Experience with post-operative, surgical, orthopedics, and urology patients\n
- Ability to titrate drips (Heparin protocol; cardiac drip experience preferred)\n
- Strong communication and teamwork skills\n
\n\nMed/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities\n
- \n
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a busy Med/Surg Telemetry unit\n
- Monitor and interpret telemetry strips; collaborate with remote monitoring techs and charge nurses\n
- Manage nurse/patient ratios of 1:6 and work with nurse aides (1:10 ratio)\n
- Utilize respiratory therapy equipment: CPAP, BiPAP, IV pumps, pulse oximetry, and sequential compression devices\n
- Titrate drips per protocol and respond to changes in patient condition\n
- Float to other units (3P, 4P, Emergency Department boarders) as needed\n
- Participate in unit orientation, skills checklist, and ongoing training\n
- Adhere to dress code: Navy scrubs for RNs, closed-toed shoes, solid color attire\n
