Position Overview: PRCKC is seeking a compassionate, adaptable veterinarian (DVM) to join our team of 4 full-time and 2 part-time veterinarians. This role is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys variety, values mission-driven work, and thrives in a collaborative, high-impact environment.
Our veterinarians rotate through multiple service areas, including wellness, high-quality high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN), dentistry, urgent care, soft tissue surgery, and mobile outreach. This model allows for professional growth, skill diversification, and meaningful community impact.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality medical care across service areas, including:
- Wellness and preventive care
- Spay/neuter surgery (HQHVSN model)
- Dental procedures
- Urgent care services
- Mobile clinic services in the community
- Rotate between departments based on organizational needs and individual skillset
- Perform physical exams, diagnostics, treatment planning, and client education
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians, assistants, and support staff to ensure efficient workflow
- Support a positive, respectful, and team-oriented culture

Our Offer:
Compensation & Benefits:
PRCKC offers a competitive compensation package including:
- Salary range for full-time: $100,000 – $120,000, based on experience and skillset
- Salary range for part-time: $80,000 to $100,000, based on experience and skillset
- CE allowance and professional development support

Requirements:
Education & Licensure:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) from an accredited veterinary school.
- Current Missouri veterinary license in good standing (or ability to obtain).
- Current Kansas veterinary license in good standing (or ability to obtain).
Experience:
- Experience in high-volume spay/neuter, shelter medicine, or nonprofit veterinary practice preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods during surgery and clinical work.
- Ability to lift and restrain animals of various sizes.
- Ability to work in a clinical environment with exposure to animals, medical equipment, and cleaning agents.
