The PSR Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing Patient Services Representatives (PSRs) across the organization's clinical operations. This role ensures front desk functions including patient check-in/out, scheduling, insurance verification, and copay collection are consistent, efficient, and patient-centered. The PSR Supervisor develops workflows, provides hands-on support, and serves as a key liaison between PSRs and leadership to maintain operational excellence and alignment with FQHC standards.
Working Experience Requirements:
- Directly supervise PSRs across multiple clinical sites, providing support, coaching, and corrective action as needed.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standardized policies and procedures for all front desk operations.
- Monitor performance indicators such as patient flow, wait times, and registration accuracy; address deficiencies promptly.
- Coordinate with clinical site leads and Revenue Cycle team to ensure appropriate front-end processes and insurance capture.
- Provide training for new hires and ongoing education for existing PSRs to ensure regulatory and policy compliance.
- Conduct regular site visits to evaluate workflow adherence, staff performance, and patient satisfaction.
- Resolve escalated front-desk-related patient concerns and implement appropriate service recovery steps.
- Collaborate with IT, clinical operations, and billing to improve system workflows and front-end revenue processes.
- Participate in organizational initiatives related to access, scheduling, and patient engagement.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in medical front desk or patient access roles.
- Working knowledge of EHR system (e.g., NextGen, eClinicalWorks)
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Preferred experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or similar healthcare setting.
- Bilingual abilities preferred (English/Spanish or English/French)
