Senior Estimator
Position Overview
A leading electrical firm is looking for a Senior Estimator who will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret blueprints effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project blueprints and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical installations and projects.
- Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for accurate project bidding.
- Monitor project costs and provide management with updates on budgetary concerns.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for estimates.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and contracts.
Qualifications
- Valid Electrician License and BS in Electrical Engineering or similar is preferred.
- 8+ years experience estimating commercial electrical projects.
- Strong understanding of blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with construction estimating software such as Procore, Sage, PlanSwift, or similar.
