Job Description & Requirements:
- Position: Travel/Contract Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse
- Discipline: Registered Nurse
- Specialty/Department: Catheterization Laboratory
- Duration: 13 weeks
Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Role Expectations:
- Circulate and monitor only (no scrubbing required)
- Function independently in procedures
- Experience in a blended lab environment (Cath Lab / EP / Vascular)
- Strong IV skills required
- Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
- Maintain sterile technique at all times
- Ability and willingness to take call
- Competent in titrating medications, including pressors
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
- Knowledge and ability to respond effectively to code situations
Facility Details:
- 457 licensed beds
- Trauma Level III facility
- Teaching hospital
- Chest Pain Center / STEMI Center
- Stroke Center of Excellence
- Bariatric Center of Excellence
Department Structure:
- 12 beds in prep/recovery
- 2 Cath Labs
- 1 Vascular Lab
- 1 EP Lab
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year Cath Lab experience required
- First-time travelers accepted
