About the Role
We are seeking an experienced cabinet designer who is highly skilled in kitchen and bath layout, cabinetry planning, and sales.
This is a design-first role. Sales ability is important, but technical design capability, spatial awareness, and attention to detail are essential.
You will lead projects from initial sales consultation through design, proposal, and close while producing clean, accurate plans that translate seamlessly into ordering and installation.
You are able to sell confidently in a showroom environment designed to support your success.
This role is ideal for a top-tier designer who takes pride in precision, understands cabinetry construction, and enjoys working directly with clients to create thoughtful, functional spaces.
What You’ll Do
Lead client consultations in-home, in the showroom, and virtually
Capture accurate field measurements and interpret job-site conditions
Design kitchens, baths, and cabinetry projects using 2020 Design or similar software
Produce detailed layouts, elevations, renderings, and specifications
Develop thoughtful space plans with strong attention to usability and aesthetics
Build clear and accurate proposals
Present designs and guide clients through decisions
Produce accurate cabinet and countertop orders
Coordinate with vendors, installers, and internal team
Maintain strong communication with clients throughout projects
Support showroom standards and client experience

What You’ll Bring
5+ years of kitchen and bath cabinetry design experience
Strong proficiency in 2020 Design preferred; experience with similar software acceptable with ability to quickly learn
Proven ability to design full kitchens independently
Strong understanding of cabinetry construction and space planning
Excellent design judgment and spatial awareness
Strong communication and client-facing skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience working with mid-range to high-end residential clients
Reliable transportation for local travel
Compensation & Benefits
$70,000 – $140,000+ per year (base + commission) with uncapped earning potential
