About Cabinet IQ

Cabinet IQ is one of the fastest-growing cabinet companies in the country with more than 10 years in business and over 3,000 completed projects. About the Role

We are seeking an experienced cabinet designer who is highly skilled in kitchen and bath layout, cabinetry planning, and sales.

This is a design-first role. Sales ability is important, but technical design capability, spatial awareness, and attention to detail are essential.

You will lead projects from initial sales consultation through design, proposal, and close while producing clean, accurate plans that translate seamlessly into ordering and installation.

You are able to sell confidently in a showroom environment designed to support your success.

This role is ideal for a top-tier designer who takes pride in precision, understands cabinetry construction, and enjoys working directly with clients to create thoughtful, functional spaces.

What You’ll Do

Lead client consultations in-home, in the showroom, and virtually

Capture accurate field measurements and interpret job-site conditions

Design kitchens, baths, and cabinetry projects using 2020 Design or similar software

Produce detailed layouts, elevations, renderings, and specifications

Develop thoughtful space plans with strong attention to usability and aesthetics

Build clear and accurate proposals

Present designs and guide clients through decisions

Produce accurate cabinet and countertop orders

Coordinate with vendors, installers, and internal team

Maintain strong communication with clients throughout projects

Support showroom standards and client experience

What Success Looks Like

Your designs are clean, detailed, and buildable

Clients feel confident in your guidance

Projects move smoothly from concept through installation

Your work protects margin and supports a premium client experience

You contribute to a high-performance, detail-oriented culture

What You’ll Bring

5+ years of kitchen and bath cabinetry design experience

Strong proficiency in 2020 Design preferred; experience with similar software acceptable with ability to quickly learn

Proven ability to design full kitchens independently

Strong understanding of cabinetry construction and space planning

Excellent design judgment and spatial awareness

Strong communication and client-facing skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Experience working with mid-range to high-end residential clients

Reliable transportation for local travel

Compensation & Benefits

$70,000 – $140,000+ per year (base + commission) with uncapped earning potential

Paid time off and company holidays

Strong operational and administrative support

Long-term growth opportunities

How to Apply

Please submit your resume. A portfolio showcasing kitchen, bath, or cabinetry design work is encouraged but not required.
