In this role, you’ll work directly with the Greens Department Manager to keep our nursery thriving — from ensuring top-quality plant displays to guiding associates and creating a welcoming customer experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with the Greens Department Manager to manage daily department operations
- Supervise, motivate, and support a team of associates on the sales floor
- Ensure healthy, beautiful plant displays and promptly report any issues
- Deliver friendly, expert customer service that turns shoppers into loyal fans
- Oversee receiving, stocking, and product quality control
- Help create engaging, seasonal displays in collaboration with your manager
- Handle opening/closing duties and assist with department documentation
- Participate in training programs and company events
Requirements:
What You Will Bring:
- Has 1-3 years of retail or garden center experience
- Thrives in a leadership role, with great communication and teamwork skills
- Loves helping customers and solving problems with a positive, can-do attitude
- Is organized, flexible, and comfortable with POS and inventory systems
- Can work in a hands-on, outdoor/indoor environment, lifting up to 50 lbs
- Is available for weekends, holidays, and peak season schedules
