Assignment Details

• Shifts Available:

  • Days: 4 × 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

  • Nights: 4 × 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

• Schedule Type: Rotating weekends (Every Other Weekend)

• Block Scheduling: Not available

• Start Date: February 17, 2026

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Orientation: 16 hours (Non-billable)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Medical-Surgical LPN to join a complex acute care unit. This role requires the ability to independently manage patient assignments with RN support while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Scheduling & Documentation

• Charting System: EPIC (experience required)

• Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday if needed

• Call-Off Policy: Up to three shifts may be canceled by the facility during a 13-week contract without charge

• Scheduling Requests: RTO, block, and special scheduling requests must be submitted at time of submission

• First-Time Travelers: Accepted

• Local Candidates: Accepted

Licensure & Certifications

• License: Active New York State LPN license required (non-compact)

• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Required Clinical Experience

• Recent acute care experience within the past 2 years

• Ability to manage own patient assignment with RN oversight

• Experience with:

  • Blood product administration

  • Central and peripheral line care

  • PICC line management

  • IV initiation and maintenance

  • Phlebotomy

  • Oxygen delivery systems (HFNC, nasal cannula, oxygen tanks)

  • Tracheostomy care

  • Feeding tube care

  • Heparin protocols

  • Pacemakers (temporary and permanent)

  • Telemetry monitoring (on-unit)

  • Rapid Response and Code Team protocols

  • Isolation precautions

  • Wound care and wound vacs

  • Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Orthopedic trauma, Total Joint Replacements

  • Surgical drains
