Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for precision and design-driven construction? We're looking for a Lead Estimator to join a high-performing team that specializes in modern residential and light commercial builds across Minnesota. This is a key leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings both technical expertise and creative problem-solving to the table.
You'll be working closely with architects, project managers, and clients to shape projects from the ground up-ensuring every estimate reflects quality, value, and vision.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the estimating process for custom residential and small commercial projects
- Analyze plans, specifications, and subcontractor bids to develop accurate and competitive pricing
- Collaborate with design and construction teams to align scope, budget, and client expectations
- Maintain and refine cost databases, vendor relationships, and historical pricing models
- Provide value-engineering insights and cost-saving recommendations without compromising design intent
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of estimating experience in residential or light commercial construction
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regional pricing
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Sage Estimating, or similar)
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for design-forward building
