Position Overview

The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and recruiting support to the HR department. This role works closely with the site HR leader and cross-functional teams to support hiring efforts and maintain efficient HR operations.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.


Key Responsibilities

Recruitment Support

  • Review resumes and conduct candidate pre-screens (phone, in-person, behavioral)
  • Partner with hiring managers to gather job requirements and candidate criteria
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews, ensuring alignment with manager calendars
  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process

HR Operations

  • Coordinate pre-employment processes, including drug screenings and background checks
  • Assist with new hire onboarding, including paperwork and I-9 verification
  • Maintain and update recruiting and employee records in systems such as PeopleSoft
  • Track recruiting activity and maintain organized candidate databases

Administrative Support

  • Organize, file, and maintain physical and digital records (invoices, reports, correspondence)
  • Perform clerical duties such as copying, filing, and office supply management
  • Create and maintain employee files in compliance with company policies
  • Greet candidates and visitors in a professional manner
  • Maintain office organization, cleanliness, and supply inventory


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in HR, recruiting, or HR generalist role
  • Manufacturing industry experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with PeopleSoft and Adobe Sign is preferred
