Job Description

The Distributor Sales Manager for Standard Integrally Geared Compressors in the Americas will oversee and drive the growth of our distributors across North, Central, and South America. This leader will develop and implement strategic initiatives to expand market share, manage regional sales teams, and foster strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in industrial equipment sales, extensive knowledge of integrally geared compressors, and the ability to adapt strategies to the unique needs of the Americas region.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute channel strategies to grow sales of standard products through distributor networks.
  • Recruit, onboard, and manage distributors, ensuring alignment with Hanwha’s brand and market objectives.
  • Set and monitor distributor performance targets; analyze sales metrics and drive corrective actions where necessary.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to support distributor promotions and campaigns.
  • Provide product training, technical support, and sales enablement tools to distributor partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all commercial matters with assigned distributors.
  • Ensure distributor compliance with pricing policies, territory agreements, and sales processes.
  • Participate in joint customer visits with distributors to support high-potential opportunities.
  • Gather market intelligence from distributors and relay feedback to internal stakeholders.
  • Represent Hanwha at industry events, trade shows, and distributor meetings.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
  • 5–8 years of experience in channel sales, distributor management, or business development in the industrial equipment or energy sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing channel sales across diverse geographies.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to communicate complex products to non-engineering audiences
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the Americas region.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation

Hanwha Power Systems Americas (HPSA) offers a dynamic and challenging work environment with benefits including generous Paid Time Off, Medical, Dental, Life Insurance and 401(k). HPSA will assist with normal moving expenses.
