The Furniture Install Supervisor plays a key role in delivering high-quality furniture installations by leading job sites, supervising installation crews, and serving as the primary point of contact for customers. This role requires hands-on installation expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage projects efficiently from start to finish. The ideal candidate understands multiple furniture systems, can read and interpret blueprints, and ensures every job is completed accurately, on time, and with attention to detail.

Essential Functions

  • Review daily installation schedules with the Furniture Supervisor to understand the scope, timing, and requirements of each job
  • Follow scheduled timelines closely, especially when managing multiple installations in a single day, to meet customer expectations
  • Serve as the primary on-site contact for customers and address questions or concerns professionally
  • Supervise and direct installation crews of up to four team members
  • Read and interpret blueprints, including panel sizes, workstation layouts, and configurations
  • Provide clear direction to crew members and respond to questions as they arise on the job site
  • Ensure all required furniture, tools, and equipment arrive on-site as scheduled
  • Communicate promptly with Design, Project Management, or FAC teams if issues arise or customers request changes outside the original scope
  • Document punch list items using the CORE system
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with other trades when working in multi-trade environments
  • Install panels, components, and case goods
  • Understand furniture power systems and troubleshoot or correct basic power-related issues
  • Complete job documentation, including sign-offs in MOSS and job completion photos; document and report any damaged items
  • Clean out installation trucks daily, removing trash, cardboard, extra parts, and damaged materials
  • Load trucks for the next day’s installations when permitted, ensuring accuracy and readiness

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Review, approve, and monitor timecards and PTO requests for direct reports
  • Address employee concerns and performance issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Resolve complex installation issues internally and with vendors to ensure successful project completion
  • Ensure team members are cross-trained to provide coverage during absences
  • Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews for direct reports

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in furniture installation or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude with strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
