Position: Offset Sheetfed Pressman
Location: Garner, NC
Pay: $30 to $38/hour (Depending on experience)
Experience: At least 2 years as a Pressman or 5 to 7 years as a Second Pressman (Required).
Education: High School Diploma.
Type: Full-time; Direct Hire
Schedule: Rotating Night Schedule, 5:30pm to 5:30am
Greene Resources is seeking an Offset Sheetfed Pressman to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Make ready and operate the offset printing press to meet production requirements.
- Review job orders for specifications, including quantity, stock type, colors, and special instructions.
- Examine and repair printing plates or notify the supervisor of unrepairable defects.
- Adjust and regulate press settings, including ink flow, cylinders, and feeder/delivery mechanisms.
- Monitor printed output for ink density, registration, and overall quality, making adjustments as needed.
- Replace worn rollers, adjust pressure, and perform maintenance using hand tools.
- Train, lead, and supervise press crew members to ensure that quality and safety standards are met.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and safe operation of press equipment.
- Follow all company safety rules and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Position Requirements:
- Must have sheetfed experience.
- At least 2 years as a Pressman or 5 to 7 years as a Second Pressman (Required).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- In-depth knowledge of press mechanics and operations.
- Ability to accurately distinguish color variations and maintain quality control.
- Skilled in running, adjusting, and maintaining press equipment.
- Ability to lift, bend, reach, and stand for extended periods.
- Dependable, reliable, and able to work collaboratively in a press crew.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.
