The Maintenance Analyst is responsible for delivering data-driven insights that improve maintenance shop efficiency, cost control, and equipment uptime. This role partners with maintenance leadership to analyze shop KPIs, identify performance gaps, and drive actionable recommendations that enhance technician productivity, reduce downtime, and improve overall repair quality and turnaround times
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and distribute recurring shop performance reports and dashboards.
- Analyze key maintenance KPIs including downtime, rework percentage, labor efficiency, and throughput.
- Partner with Shop Supervisors and Maintenance Leadership to identify trends, root causes, and performance gaps.
- Support forecasting and planning efforts by providing historical data analysis and projections.
- Audit shop data inputs (e.g., repair orders, labor coding) to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Identify opportunities to standardize reporting and improve data integrity across locations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and systems teams to align data and reporting methodologies.
- Assist in development and tracking of performance improvement initiatives across shop locations.
- Provide ad hoc analysis to support leadership decision-making.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to establish trends based on analytical reporting.
- Ability and desire to learn new skills and tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite of products
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data modeling) and reporting tools .
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to adapt to changes and additions to job tasks as this role evolves with the development of the department.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, analytics or similar field required. 1 year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of education required.
- 2+ years of experience in analytics, operations, maintenance, or related field required. Experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet maintenance environment strongly preferred.

The posted range reflects the full pay band for the position. The expected pay range below represents where most candidates are hired, based on experience, skills, and internal equity. Candidates with more extensive or highly relevant experience may be considered toward the higher end of the overall pay band.
- Expected Pay Range: $45,008.00-$50,772.80
- Full Pay Range: $45,008.00-$69,575.00
- Pay Grade: 7
