Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This contract opportunity offers Occupational Therapists the chance to deliver specialized services within a school setting in Lowell, MA, with additional in-home sessions provided in Andover. The position focuses on supporting students’ developmental and functional needs through tailored therapeutic interventions that promote success in both academic and daily living activities.
Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering hands-on therapy to students within the school environment. Additionally, therapists will provide two 60-minute in-home sessions per week in Andover, working closely with families to reinforce therapeutic goals in the home setting. Collaboration with educators, families, and other professionals is essential to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to each student’s care.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license with experience in school-based therapy services
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and students
- Experience providing in-home therapy services preferred
- Familiarity with educational regulations and therapy documentation requirements
