CNC Machinist and Programmer

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist and Programmer. The successful candidate will program CNC machines using Mastercam, interpret CAD models from SolidWorks, and set up and operate CNC mills to produce precision parts. You will be required to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications, utilize G and M codes for machine programming and troubleshooting, and perform quality checks using precision measuring tools.
Responsibilities
- Program CNC machines using Mastercam.
- Interpret CAD models from SolidWorks.
- Set up and operate CNC mills to produce precision parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Utilize G and M codes for machine programming and troubleshooting.
- Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools.
- Maintain machines and ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Mastercam programming.
- Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Skill in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Knowledge of G and M codes for CNC machine programming.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with 4 and 5 axis CNC mill machines.
- Knowledge of high-performance engine components, aerospace, and/or automotive manufacturing.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.

Work Environment
The role is based in a small and clean shop within a family-owned and growing company. You have the flexibility to choose between working 4 ten-hour shifts or 5 eight-hour shifts, with opportunities for up to 10 hours of overtime per week. The working hours are from 7 am to 5 pm or 8 am to 5 pm, with limited to no weekend work.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
