Client Overview
Our client is a preventive health clinic. They are looking for a skilled and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (Per Diem) to support the McLean clinic during the fall and winter season, especially during flu season.
Salary/Hourly Rate
$30/hr - $32/hr
Position Overview
The Licensed Practical Nurse (Per Diem) will primarily cover for staff on leave and requires in-person availability. You will assist physicians with various procedures and help deliver high-quality preventive care to corporate employees. The schedule on Fridays, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, is required. Additional weekday coverage (1 - 2 days a week) may be requested but is not guaranteed. Contract Duration is from October 2025 to January 2026.
Responsibilities Of The Licensed Practical Nurse (Per Diem)
- Support physicians with clinical procedures.
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs, injections, and vaccine administration.
- Conduct routine tests: audiometric, vision, pulmonary function, and tonometry.
- Assist with cardiac step tests and prepping for stress tests.
- Escort patients to testing and exam areas.
- Provide excellent customer service and patient education.
- Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms.
- Manage inventory of medical supplies.
- Perform administrative duties as needed.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.
Required Experience/Skills for the Licensed Practical Nurse (Per Diem):
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience.
- Strong phlebotomy and vaccine administration skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Licensed Practical Nurse (Per Diem):
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing schedules.
Education Requirements:
- Current LPN license in Virginia.
- CPR/BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
