Position Summary
The Clinical Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting the clinical operations of Bloom Healthcare’s primary care teams. This position ensures efficient communication, accurate documentation, and timely completion of clinical administrative tasks that directly impact patient care. Working closely with Bloom’s support staff, and providers, the Clinical Support Specialist helps maintain smooth day-to-day clinical workflows and supports continuity of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and process medication refill requests in accordance with established protocols.
  • Coordinate prior authorizations for medications, procedures, and services.
  • Request, receive, and upload medical records and documents from external facilities.
  • Update immunization records, allergies, and health maintenance data in patient charts.
  • Follow up on outstanding labs, imaging orders, and specialist consults to ensure results are completed and available.
  • Support accurate and timely charting for providers and nursing staff.
  • Communicate with pharmacies, and external offices to gather or relay request clinical information.
  • Collaborate with the clinical support and nursing teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.


Qualifications

  • Education & Licensure: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Medical Assistant (MA) required.
  • Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of clinical or administrative healthcare experience preferred (primary care or home-based care experience a plus).
  • Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient with EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. The pay range for this role in the state of Colorado typically falls between $25-35 hourly with the potential for performance-based bonuses and other benefits. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and location within the state.
