Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school in Lowell, MA, starting as soon as possible with a contract extending through the spring semester of 2026 or until June 30th, the end of the school year. This role offers approximately 32.5 hours per week, with work hours from 8:45 AM to 3:30 PM, providing a rewarding opportunity to support inclusion students in an onsite setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of 14-15 inclusion students, delivering tailored instruction and support aligned with individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create an inclusive, effective learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate student records and participate in regular meetings and progress assessments.
  • Support the social and academic development of students with special needs.
  • Communicate with families and caregivers regarding student progress and needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Massachusetts teaching certification in special education.
  • Proven school-based experience supporting elementary-aged students.
  • Spanish-speaking skills are preferred but not required.
  • Completion of CORI background checks and fingerprinting are mandatory (a letter of suitability from a previous employer may expedite the fingerprinting requirement).
  • Must be comfortable participating in a Zoom interview.
