Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Industrial Electrician to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment in a fast-paced food production environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a proactive approach to maintenance, and a commitment to minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency electrical maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues including motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, and control panels.
- Install and modify electrical systems to support production needs and facility upgrades.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and system modifications.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in electrical or industrial maintenance preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, and industrial controls.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory compliance in a food manufacturing facility.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
