Position Overview
The Non-Medical Case Manager provides comprehensive non-clinical case-management support to Wounded, Ill, and Injured (WII) Marines. This role manages assigned caseloads, identifies and coordinates resources, documents all case activity, and supports Marines through key transitional periods, including post-EAS support. The position requires strict compliance with privacy requirements and operational coordination within the WWR framework.
Key Responsibilities

Manage an active caseload of up to 40 non-complex non-medical cases.

Identify financial, administrative, personal, and transitional needs of assigned Marines.

Coordinate benefits, services, and community resources to support recovery and reintegration.

Document all case activity in MCWIITS in accordance with program standards.

Provide case management support for up to 120 days post-EAS for RCC-assigned Marines.

Achieve and maintain ≥95% case-note timeliness and accuracy.

Handle detailed Protected Health Information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA and Privacy Act requirements.

Rotate to the Wounded Warrior Regiment Operations Center for immersion training and operational support.

Communicate effectively with Marines, family members, recovery care coordinators, and partner organizations.

Support continuity of care through accurate documentation, follow-up, and coordination.

Maintain professionalism, empathy, and discretion in all interactions.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of direct non-medical case-management experience supporting wounded, ill, or injured service members or veterans.

Experience working with Marine Corps, Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), or DoD Recovery Care Coordinator programs preferred.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 (T3) clearance and Common Access Card (CAC).

Demonstrated experience managing sensitive PHI and complex documentation requirements.
