Contract Length: 5-Week Contract
Pay Rate
- Contract Rate: $50.00 per hour
- Regular Rate: $44.00 per hour (applies to Part-Time or standard Full-Time placements)
Oculus Health Staffing is actively seeking a reliable, compassionate, and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team for a 5-week contract assignment at a Long-Term Care (LTC) facility located in Vinton, Virginia.

Contract Details
Contract Duration: 5 Weeks
Work Schedule:
- 5 Days per Week
- Every Other Weekend Required
This assignment offers a structured and dependable schedule, allowing nurses to maintain stability while gaining valuable experience in a professional long-term care setting.
Shift Options
This facility offers 8-hour shift rotations, providing flexibility depending on staffing needs and availability:
- Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Shift assignments will be confirmed during the onboarding process based on facility needs and nurse availability.
Compensation & Pay BenefitsOculus Health Staffing ensures that our nurses are fairly compensated and supported throughout their assignments.
- Hourly Pay: $50.00 per hour

Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a Long-Term Care environment, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents while maintaining compliance with facility protocols and state regulations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Providing direct patient care to residents in accordance with individualized care plans
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and within scope of practice
• Monitoring and assessing patient health conditions and reporting any changes to the supervising RN or physician
• Assisting with daily living activities and ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Collaborating with registered nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
• Assisting with the development and implementation of patient care plans
• Maintaining accurate and detailed medical documentation in accordance with facility policies
• Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and state healthcare regulationsMinimum RequirementsTo qualify for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Licensure & Certifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License – Virginia
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Long-Term Care (LTC)
- Current BLS / CPR Certification
Required DocumentationCandidates must be able to provide the following documentation during the onboarding process:
- Updated Professional Resume
- Valid Government-Issued Photo Identification
- Social Security Card
- Two Professional References (written or contact information)
Health & Compliance RequirementsIn order to work in healthcare facilities, all nurses must meet the following compliance requirements:
- Recent Physical Examination
- PPD Test or QuantiFERON TB Test
- MMR Vaccination Record
- Flu Vaccination (or signed declination form)
- COVID-19 Vaccination Record (or approved exemption if applicable)
