The Buyer / Planner 3 would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This would be full-time / 40+ hours per week.

Buyer / Planner 3 Compensation
- The pay for this position is $37.04 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Buyer / Planner 3 Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST
- Job site is Milpitas, CA 95035
- Position requires on-site collaboration at least 4 days per week
Buyer / Planner 3 Responsibilities
- Manage PCBAs and work with contract manufacturers
- Collaborate and execute weekly MRP signals of materials required for production and service plans, avoiding shortages and keeping optimal inventory levels
- Partner with global procurement group to develop suppliers, implement purchasing strategies, and escalate discrepancies or potential line downs
- Review and resolve daily/weekly issues impacting customer service (materials, quality, engineering changes) and implement preventative measures
- Collaborate with Supplier Quality to monitor and improve supplier performance; request RMA and RTV materials as needed
- Drive improvements in work procedures and SAP utilization; support efficiency and visibility initiatives using lean tools and procurement processes
- Monitor resolution of invoice discrepancies, deadlines, and supplier payments
- Comply with corporate procurement policies and support audits
- Publish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as CTB, inventory, line downs, MRB, and past-due POs
- Participate in Kaizen events, workshops, and other continuous improvement initiatives
Buyer / Planner 3 Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience)
- Professional certifications through APICS preferred
- 2–3 years of related experience
- ERP knowledge – SAP preferred
- Proficiency with data analytics, databases, Advanced Excel, and MS Office
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
- High ethical standards and compliance with procurement policies
- Ability to sit for long hours as required by role
- High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in supplier management and contract manufacturing
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
