What You’ll Do as a Transportation Operations Manager:
- Operational Leadership: Support the VP of Operations by overseeing daily transportation activities and ensuring smooth, efficient operations.
- Fleet Management: Manage vehicle scheduling, dispatch, maintenance, repairs, and overall fleet readiness.
- Policy & Process Improvement: Implement and enforce operational policies, procedures, and best practices to drive efficiency and performance.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations, including driver, vehicle, and D&A compliance.
- Performance Analysis: Review operational data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement strategic solutions.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support a dedicated operations team while fostering a positive, collaborative culture.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Customer Resolution: Handle customer inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.
- Vehicle Oversight: Manage vehicle onboarding, removals, daily lot audits, and inventory tracking.
- Repair Coordination: Prioritize and coordinate fleet repairs with in-house teams and external vendors.
What We’re Looking for as a Transportation Operations Manager:
- Experience: Proven experience in transportation operations, fleet management, or a related field.
- Leadership: Strong people-management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Organization: Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication: Clear and professional communication skills for working with teams, customers, and partners.
- Technology: Comfortable using transportation management systems and operational tools.
- Regulatory Expertise: Solid understanding of transportation compliance requirements.
- License: Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
