Staffing Inc. is partnered with a plastics manufacturing facility in Grand Rapids, MI, and we’re seeking an experienced Sales & Business Development Manager to join their Contract Molding division. This role is critical to driving new business, expanding market presence, and leading sales growth across multiple industries. We are looking for a highly motivated, relationship-driven sales professional with strong communication skills, excellent business development instincts, and a deep understanding of manufacturing. The ideal candidate will excel at prospecting, managing customer relationships, developing proposals, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver successful solutions.

Sales & Business Development Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow the injection molding business into new and existing markets
- Build a strong pipeline through prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and re-engaging past customers
- Prepare and deliver quotes, proposals, and customer presentations
- Lead contract negotiations to establish profitable, long-term customer partnerships
- Partner with internal engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure successful project execution
- Attend trade shows, customer visits, and industry events to expand brand presence
- Monitor market trends, customer demands, and competitive activity
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular reporting on pipeline activity, KPIs, and forecasts
- Support business unit goals and assist with coaching team members as needed
Sales & Business Development Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, or related field OR 7+ years of progressive sales/business development experience in place of a degree
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the United States
- Proven experience in sales and business development, with strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills
- B2B manufacturing sales experience required, strong preference for injection molding or plastics experience
- Experience leading and managing teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to customers and collaborate internally
- Experience with CRM and modern sales tools (Salesforce, ZoomInfo, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Teams
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and ability to build strong customer relationships
