As an Executive Meeting Manager, your primary responsibility is to proactively seek and secure group and catering opportunities that contribute to meaningful revenue growth. This role emphasizes not only generating new business but also nurturing strong client relationships while serving as the key liaison during their events. You’ll ensure smooth coordination between departments, maintain consistent communication, and deliver exceptional service at every stage of the customer journey—building loyalty and leaving lasting impressions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive Sales & Business Development: Identify, qualify, and solicit new group and catering business opportunities to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals.
  • Client Relations & Service: Serve as the customer’s main point of contact during events and programs, ensuring daily needs are met and overall satisfaction is achieved.
  • Event Coordination & Turnover: Provide seamless turnover of business to Event Management and Operations teams, ensuring efficient service delivery and flawless execution.
  • Customer Experience Excellence: Understand customer preferences, recommend tailored services, and exceed expectations to foster long-term loyalty.
  • Negotiation & Contracts: Skillfully negotiate hotel services and execute Group Sales Agreements for each business opportunity, ensuring clarity and value for all parties.
  • Market Knowledge & Strategy: Stay current on competitor activities, market trends, and supply-demand conditions to position the hotel effectively and capture the best opportunities.
  • Community & Industry Engagement: Build strong ties in the community, participate in trade shows, FAM trips, and client entertainment, and strengthen relationships with current and prospective customers.
  • Sales Process Mastery: Utilize Marriott Global Source and eTools (eRooming Lists, eProposals, Passkey) to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and maximize sales potential.
  • Site Inspections & Presentations: Conduct professional site visits that highlight the hotel’s offerings and capabilities to prospective clients.
  • Feedback & Continuous Improvement: Gather and act on guest and planner feedback, resolving issues promptly and collaborating with hotel teams to elevate service performance.
  • Leadership & Brand Representation: Model exceptional hospitality standards, serving as a brand ambassador and positive example for guest relations.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  • Previous hospitality sales or catering/group sales experience strongly preferred.
