Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Sign Language Interpreter to support K-12 students in a full-semester contract position located in Commerce City, CO. The role requires onsite presence with some remote components, offering a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week. The start date is ASAP, with the assignment ending May 27, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 sign language interpretation services for students within the school setting.
- Facilitate effective communication between deaf/hard-of-hearing students and educators.
- Support remote Pre-K instruction when required.
- Manage caseload in compliance with educational standards and student needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) certification and license in Colorado.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EIPA 3.5 and/or RID credentials.
- Previous experience interpreting in K-12 educational environments; remote Pre-K experience is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in both onsite and virtual settings.
