Minimum Requirements
\n
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by APTA.
- Active Maine (ME) physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification required from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in physical therapy.
- Outpatient physical therapy experience preferred, including post-op orthopedic care.
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.
- Willingness to work primarily in outpatient setting with occasional coverage for ED consults, same-day surgery patients, or inpatient as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
\n
- Previous travel therapy experience preferred but first-time travelers will be considered.
- Experience working in a small department or collaborative team setting preferred.

Assignment Details
\n
- Shift hours: 0800-1600 (documented shift detail).
- Workdays: Monday through Friday schedule as described (no weekend rotation).
- Orientation: 3-4 days, dependent on skillset and comfort level.
- Average patient volume: 10-15 patients per day, subject to change.
- Department staffing typically includes 3 PTs and 1 PTA.
- EMR system: Cerner.
- No on-call requirements. Holiday coverage: department closed on six major holidays; other holidays as scheduled.
- Floating: Primarily outpatient duties; occasional coverage for other areas as needed.

Impacting Patient Care
\n
Provide outpatient physical therapy including general and post-op orthopedic care within a hospital-affiliated outpatient clinic. Support includes collaboration with a small therapy team and resources documented in the facility EMR. Your work will help maintain continuity of care for surgical and outpatient populations while covering occasional consults in other areas as needed.
