Job Title: Phlebotomist

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our clinical team. This role involves direct patient interaction, specimen collection, and accurate recording of vital clinical data. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, professionalism, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform phlebotomy following proper safety and infection-control protocols.
  • Collect stool specimens, urine samples, and finger-stick specimens accurately and safely.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and oxygen saturation.
  • Perform CPR when necessary and maintain readiness for emergency response.

Essential Skills

  • Phlebotomy, blood draw, specimen collection, venipuncture, and pediatric experience.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and patient-care skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • MUST HAVE Pediatrics experience.
  • MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE BLS and Phlebotomy certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Active BLS certification required.
  • 1-2 years of experience required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Work Environment

The work environment is a primary care setting/outpatient facility with operational hours from Monday to Thursday, noon to 8:30 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and every other Saturday. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, DC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
