Hiring LPNs in Ware, and Monson, MA!

Position: Licensed Practical Nurse - Residential Setting; Covers 1-2 homes in Ware, or Monson.

Pay rate: $53.55/hr.

Contract Duration: 6 months with possible extension

Work Schedule: 02:30 PM to 10:30 PM (40 hours weekly)

Locations:

• 305 Main St, Monson, MA 01057

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday (Days Off: Sunday, Thursday)

  • Week 2: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (Days Off: Monday, Saturday)

• 4 Wildflower Dr. Ware, MA 01082

  • Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (Days Off: Tuesday, Saturday)

  • Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday (Days Off: Sunday, Friday)

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

• Monitors patient's condition by checking vital signs, measuring food and liquid intake and output, responding to call lights or patients' requests for assistance, and making rounds to observe patients.

• Provides direct care to patients, including caring for colostomies and tracheotomies, mixing medications and food, inserting feeding tubes, catheterizing patients, and performing other nursing procedures as directed.

• Documents and administers medications and treatments, changes in patient's condition or behavior, responses to care, and daily activities.

• Instruct patients and their families on caring for their medical needs, including catheter and colostomy care, bowel program techniques, insulin injection, personal hygiene, and skin care.

• Assists doctor in clinic by gathering information on patient's needs and informing doctor, dressing and undressing patients, assisting with medical procedures, and transcribing doctor's orders.

• Notify the next shift of each day's events, including patient progress, behavioral problems, and new orders.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements:

• Must have an active LPN License in the state of Massachusetts.

• Must have at least 1 year of experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

• Must have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA).

• Previous experience in a residential setting is preferred.

• Must have a clean background.
