We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team in a contract position based in Fort Collins, Colorado. This role involves overseeing the financial shared services team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and a deep understanding of compliance and risk management within the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and mentor the financial shared services team, including hiring, training, and providing ongoing guidance to ensure high performance.
• Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and financial statement generation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to optimize financial operations.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and internal policies, including managing audits and implementing controls to mitigate risks.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and monitor team goals, offering feedback and coaching to support detail-oriented growth.
• Collaborate with vendors, auditors, and other external parties to maintain effective communication and relationships.
• Manage budgets and forecast financial performance, analyzing cash flow impacts and aligning with organizational objectives.
• Support ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.
• Demonstrate a detail-oriented manner in all interactions, fostering positive relationships across the organization.
• Proven experience in accounts payable supervision or a similar financial leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, including preparation of financial statements and month-end close processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, with a focus on mentoring and performance management.
• Expertise in compliance functions, risk management, and adherence to financial regulations.
• Proficiency in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to manage budgets, forecast financial outcomes, and analyze cash flow impacts.
• Familiarity with project management principles and tools to oversee financial initiatives.
