Job Title: Medical Assistant (Front & Back Office)
Location: Wakefield, Rhode Island
Pay: $20 - 22/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented Medical Assistant to join a busy practice with 8 providers. This role will support both front and back office operations and requires someone comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This is a great opportunity for candidates with at least 6 months of experience or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on clinical experience.
Responsibilities:
Assist with both front and back office duties as needed
Take and record patient vitals
Perform patient intake and prepare charts
Administer vaccines and injections
Conduct spirometry and EKG testing
Perform point-of-care testing (Flu, Strep, COVID, A1C, etc.)
Support providers with daily patient flow (20-30 patients per day)
Qualifications:
At least 6 months of Medical Assistant experience preferred (new graduates welcome)
Ability to multitask and take initiative in a fast-paced setting
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Reliable and professional demeanor
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Athena EMR is a plus
Additional Details:
Dress code: Scrubs (no specific color required)
This is a temporary position covering a maternity leave
