Position Summary:
Assists the Clinical Laboratory Scientist in the pre-analytic, and post-analytic phase of testing, following rules set by CLIA, CA Bus. And Prof. Code. Performs blood draws and functions as a backup to the Laboratory Assistant when needed.
Minimum Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education:
- N/A
Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications:
- One year phlebotomy experience in a hospital laboratory
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Preferred Work Experience and Qualifications:
- Phlebotomy experience preferred
- One to two years of experience as Lab Technician preferred
Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation:
- California CPT1 Certification
- BLS Card
- Hospital Fire Card
- Assault Response Competency (ARC) required within 30 days of hire
Hours: Varied (Evenings and Nights)
