Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Deliver occupational therapy services within a school setting for students enrolled in Extended School Year (ESY) programs. This role focuses on supporting students from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade during the summer session to promote their developmental and functional progress.
Location:This position is located at a Regional Day School in the Jackson, New Jersey area and requires onsite attendance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized occupational therapy evaluations and interventions to students attending the ESY program.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other educational staff to implement effective therapeutic strategies tailored to student needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, treatment plans, and related communications.
- Attend team meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress monitoring.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) credential with experience in school-based therapy.
- Familiarity with school-based service delivery models and ESY program requirements.
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet a diverse caseload ranging from early childhood to secondary students.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Schedule:This contract position runs from July 1st through August 12th, Monday to Thursday, excluding the holiday closure on July 6th. Daily hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
