Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is needed for a short-term, full-time leave position in an elementary school setting located in Sacramento, CA. This contract role is ideal for professionals experienced in pediatric nursing, respiratory care, and special needs education support.
Location: Dry Creek Elementary, Sacramento, CA
Duration: March 2, 2026 March 6, 2026
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM 1:55 PM (30.5 hours/week)
Caseload: One-on-one support for a first-grade female student
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled nursing care focusing on tracheostomy (trach) suctioning and management
- Monitor and respond to seizure activity promptly and effectively
- Assist with G-tube feeding and care throughout the school day
- Support the students access to the curriculum, adapting as needed in collaboration with teachers
- Ensure presence and punctuality, as the students attendance relies on consistent nursing support
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active and valid LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) license
- Demonstrated experience in suctioning, trach care, G-tube management, and seizure monitoring
- Strong reliability and punctuality to guarantee daily care coverage
- Ability to provide compassionate and attentive one-on-one nursing support in an educational environment
