Construction Foreman

Purpose:

This position is responsible for assisting with construction projects to help ensure projects completed smoothly, efficiently, and on budget.

Mission:

In this position you will be working with our construction laborers and project manager overseeing and executing water feature and pond construction projects.

Attributes:

Water feature construction is chaotic, detail oriented, labor intensive work. As such, ideal attributes for a construction foreman are high work ethic, resilience, leadership, and organization.

Deliverables:

Logistical Support

• Recording costs and organizing receipts to deliver project cost reports.
• Supporting construction by keeping record of jobsite status, setting up deliveries, and managing project order of completion.
• Organize trucks and jobsite.
• Maintaining inventory and placing material requests.
• Marking potential hazards and ensuring jobsite safety.
• Designating pathways to and from jobs to ensure minimal destruction of client property.
• Planning and ensuring everything from the shop is gathered and ready for the day.

Vehicle Maintenance and Organizing

• Maintaining a clean and presentable vehicle.
• Ensuring the vehicle stays stocked and prepared.
• Scheduling and managing vehicle maintenance.
• Greasing and organizing maintenance on heavy machinery.

Water Feature Construction

• Safely operating heavy machinery to dig water feature outline and place large rocks.
• Basic plumbing and low voltage lighting installation associated with water features.
• General labor such as digging with shovels and moving gravel.
• Applying foam, plants, and adding artistic touches on water features to ensure a natural, beautiful look.
• Perform follow up visits for construction projects to touch up things as needed, do initial maintenance, answer customer questions, and learn from previous projects.
