We are looking for a detail-oriented Proofreader to join our team. You must be proficient in basic and advanced grammar rules and understand how they are used within our style guides. Our ideal candidate is meticulous in reviewing copy, noting punctuation, spelling, and word usage errors, and knows how to check statements for accuracy or potential plagiarism.
Job Duties:
Review documents for grammar, spelling, and style
Fact-check dates and other statements for accuracy
Confirm that all submitted writing is original
Proofread format for corporate quarterly reports, comparing the client-supplied document to the document we have created to ensure consistency.
Verify information presented across multiple formats.
Help streamline and improve the approval process.
Qualifications:
Ability to compare two document formats quickly and accurately for consistency.
Solid computer skills (preferably in Word, Excel, & Adobe PDF)
Must be adaptable and able to work under tight deadlines.
Ability to handle several high-priority projects simultaneously and effectively.
Open to constructive criticism for professional growth.
Self-starter, able to work independently.
